When we embark on a journey to a destination, we sometimes look for places that are not very touristy. This allows us to fully immerse ourselves in the spirit of life of the place, touching it with our hand and our heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Naples also has wonderful non-tourist places, that is little known by tourists but very loved by Neapolitans. Ready to get to know them? Let’s start:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scale del Petraio<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Not everyone knows that on the Vomero hill, not far from the famous Certosa di San Martino and the equally famous Castel Sant’Elmo, there is access to the path of the walk of the so-called stairs of the Petraio.

Following these stairs, you will cross a characteristic Neapolitan village with a beautiful view of the Gulf of Naples in the background. From here you can get to Piazza Plebiscito or even on the waterfront.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In ancient times people chose to live here because of the healthiness of the air and the quieter dimension of life than the city center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walk along the beautiful Bagnoli pier<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Probably the least touristy place ever. The Bagnoli pier is an elevated concrete pier. It is a panoramic walk that starts from the mainland and extends along the sea for 900 meters from the coast.
Walking along this pier you will have an unparalleled feeling of freedom. At the end of the walk you will feel like you are touching the islands of Procida and Ischia.
You probably won’t see a single tourist around here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To reach the Bagnoli pier, simply take the Cumana and get off at the “Bagnoli” stop. The pier is located a few hundred meters from the stop. Since times are sometimes subject to change, it is advisable to view the opening or closing times at this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parco Virgiliano<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It is a park located in the area of the Posillipo district. Much loved by the Neapolitans, yoga sessions are often held here or people are found who want to relax a little.
Walking in the park you will enjoy a magnificent 360 \u00b0 view of the entire Gulf of Naples. In fact, it will be possible to admire everything in one breath: Nisida, Vesusvius, Procida, Ischia, Capri and Sorrento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you can, we advise you to drop by during sunset time to enjoy an even more suggestive atmosphere and view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To reach the Virgiliano Park just take the line n.140 and get off at the Marechiaro stop. Alternatively, you can reach the park by opting for the service citysightseeing.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

VILLA VOLPICELLI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Villa Volpicelli is unjustifiably little known but just as beautiful as Gaiola and Marechiaro.
It is no coincidence that this place was chosen as the location for some films and TV series, including that of “Un Posto al Sole”.
In addition to the beautiful view, Villa Volpicelli is an excellent place to take a nice swim in the sea during the summer heat. The water is crystal clear and the area is usually uncrowded due to the presence of the rocks. Also beautiful during sunset drinking a good beer and admiring Vesuvius in the background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Napoli Sea View<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Just from Villa Volpicelli it is possible to rent a kayak and make a splendid excursion around the coast of Posillipo. You can decide whether to visit the villas or go to Marechiaro, La Gaiola<\/a>, up to the Bay of Trentami.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will surely return home happy having had an exciting experience and having had the opportunity to appreciate Naples from a different and magical perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
